This is a space just for adults – whether you're 18 or 80. There are plenty of brilliant teachers working with children and youngsters. That’s not what this is. I specialise in teaching adult learners only – people who want to try something new, pick up a brass instrument for the first time, or return after years away.
You're not in school anymore – and this isn’t school-style teaching. It’s friendly, flexible, and tailored to you.
Our method is welcoming, patient, and proven – developed over 16 years through the Hallé Orchestra’s Hallé4Brass education project working with some of the most challenging and up-against-it people in society.
And yes – you will learn to read music. Not just play a few tunes by ear. Even if you're convinced, right now, you could never learn to read music. It's possible for anyone to learn!
